Nice-Matin features WIBES’ journey to success

WIBES, a unique footwear brand founded by SKEMA alumni Aurélie Gisclon and Nicolas Raudrant, was recently featured in Nice-Matin, a regional daily French newspaper. The article highlights how the young entrepreneurs set out to conquer the footwear market in France based on an innovative idea they conceptualized while pursuing their master’s degree at SKEMA Business School, Sophia Antipolis.

The article elaborates on how the duo came up with the idea and developed it, the challenges they had to face, the objective of the brand, how they raised funds, and the unique selling proposition of WIBES products. The footwear products offered by WIBES are handmade in Portugal using pagne (wax)  — a fabric printed and used in Africa — combining “traditional African wax patterns with the latest European footwear fashions.” One of the main objectives of the brand is to ensure that its products are environmentally sustainable.
