SKEMA Ventures offers unique support to SKEMA entrepreneurs: The Venture Family peer-to-peer community service. The idea is simple. Each student-entrepreneur can seek the assistance of expert students (student-coaches) selected by the SKEMA Ventures community from all our campuses to help solve a problem or understand a local specificity.
The Community Service developed by SKEMA Ventures is also an educational project which enables student-coaches to self-develop expertise in a specific academic field (such as business modelling, digital marketing, law, finance, sales, growth hacking, data sciences…) and transfer it to another student (or group of students) assisting an entrepreneurial project.
This facilitates a process of co-learning through the cross-transfer of knowledge as well as (the expert to candid approach) the widening of one’s individual field of knowledge.
The community service is a unique way through which students can enrich their professional experience and record of accomplishment.
This approach is based on several perspectives:
- Develop and support an entrepreneurial spirit among students
- Develop a sense of excellence among students through the transfer of expertise between peers
- Strengthen “The SKEMA Family” spirit between the members of The Venture Family and the community of student-entrepreneurs incubated in The Venture Factory of SKEMA.
To carry out an effective transfer of knowledge, the student-coaches deploy skills of empathy, formalization, and formulation, which are essential to any manager. This approach will prepare them to manage complexity and uncertainty.
The Venture Family Community Service is a natural implementation of our values of multiculturalism and diversity, lifelong learning and personal development, entrepreneurship, humanism, and excellence.
Incubated student-entrepreneurs can apply to benefit from the community service on the Gust platform.
