Sami ADAM and Sydney BENALI, students in the MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation, are dedicated entrepreneurs.
They started their year working on a project called SWITCH, paused it for while in order to launch a business on induction charger (see https://sequoiafrance.fr/).
Once this business was working well, they resumed their work on “Switch”.
SWITCH is a community application which allows people to monetise “their” parking spot in big cities. This project is aiming at tackling traffic jams, air pollution and wasted time. The concept is fairly simple: SWITCH enables a match between someone looking for a parking spot and someone else who is leaving another one.
Sami and Sydney are delighted to have won this highly selective contest. The Coup2Boost is organised in partnership with 8 private companies which want to promote projects from students’ entrepreneur. These companies are Abylsen, Business & Decision, Coca-Cola European Partners, Dentsu Aegis Network, PwC, Sogeti High Tech, Tessi and Monster.
Sami and Sydney were part of the Dentsu Aegis Network batch. Dentsu Aegis Network is in the top 5 advertising networks worldwide. They employ close to 50,000 people in 147 countries across the world. This group is strongly attached to innovation as suggested by its tagline: “Innovating the way brands are built.”
The contest started in January 2018 and gathered over 2,000 participants from 250 campuses working on 600 projects. 13 000 students voted to select the finalists.
In the final, Sami and Sydney were part of the 35 last teams and competed directly against 4 other teams from the Faculté de Médecine Pierre et Marie Curie, Grenoble EM, Supbiotech and Kedge Business School. They had to pitch in a 5 minutes time their project in front of several juries and competing teams.
