Maker Faire Lille: A celebration of innovation and creativity

The third edition of Maker Faire Lille, a science festival as well as a popular event known for promoting innovation, is taking place in Lille from March 1 to 3. Started in 2006 at the US’ Silicon Valley, Maker Faire features workshops, presentations and conferences around the themes of creativity, manufacturing and the do-it-yourself movement.

Today, it is held in 38 countries and brings together technology enthusiasts, artisans, educators, inventors, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors and students. All these ‘makers’ share their discoveries and experiences with the audience. The event aims at promoting the Makers Movement, touted as the new industrial revolution, that encourages manufacturing of concrete objects and its different forms such as sewing, carpentry, cooking, 3D printing, robotics, physics, chemistry, and so on.

As a student of SKEMA Business School, participating in Maker Faire Lille will enable you to seize the opportunity to find technical solutions for your startup and learn from the achievements of experienced entrepreneurs. You can also benefit from the special admission fee rate for students.

The event in Lille this year is expected to feature 400 makers, interesting workshops, insightful conferences, and more. For more details and to register, visit https://lille.makerfaire.com/.
